Every good perfume tells a story, or at least takes you on a journey. This one takes you into Prospect Park, a 24 acre expanse of landscape architecture in the center of Brooklyn, New York. Nestled in the center of the park is The Nethermead, a small open air expanse surrounded by forest (including some of the oldest trees in Brooklyn).

To get to the Nethermead I have to walk across a meadow, past The Ambergill, across a ravine through The Midwood and finally under The Nethermead Arches and onto the mead. It's half surrounded by the meandering Lullwater with it's scenic waterfull, Lullwater Bridge and Boat House. I've spent many afternoons lazing in the grass under the tree canopy, daydreaming about Brooklynites enjoying this same view for well over a hundred years. Violets, clover, a kind of chamomile and jet weed share the same turf along with the grasses.

Petitgrain sur fleurs and ho wood greet you for that sweet exhilarating walk through the woods. The natural isolate alpha ionone and boronia lend the sweet scent of violet throughout the perfume. An amber accord creates the basis of the bottom chord along with violet leaf and atlas cedar absolute with the addition of fossilized amber to create a longer, sweeter dryout. ,

Top notes: petitgrain sur fleurs, ho wood, anisaldehyde natural isolate
Heart notes: alpha ionone natural isolate, boronia, coffee flower, nutmeg absolute
Base notes: amber accord, atlas cedar absolute, vanilla, fossilized amber, violet leaf

This perfume comes beautifully packaged in a brown velvet pouch with a vintage velvet millinery violet nestled inside. No marking of any kind have been made to the velvet envelope so that it may be reused (or regifted as the case may be). The flower is your keepsake, that and the lingering fragrance.
